A Day of Rest?

'God blessed the seventh day and made it a holy day, because on that day he rested from all the work he had done'

I don't think we got that memo today...

There was something scheduled every hour today, by nine o'clock this morning it already felt like it had been a long day.

Get up, hurry to get ready, hurry to church, hurry hurry to lunch and eat so fast your stomach hurts, but you can't be late to the next event, a birthday party, which you forgot the present for. On to the house to change, get the present, help the little people get skates on & off....on & off...annnnd on & off again.

(sigh...)

And the last two things were, lets say, more up my alley...which I can always manage to find some extra energy somewhere.

One of my favorite little sewing chicas, made me a roman shade for the window in the master bath, stopped by to install it and talked a super fast talk on the other ho hum windows in the house. I could seriously talk to her for hours on end about fabric, etc. I hated it that we were so rushed to finish up, but I had to fly, practically, to make it to the next appointment for a kitchen and three bath remodel, and now my mind is spinning, which is good ;)

Now the cabinet people....I could talk to them for days...literally...

What I truly love is to be able to tell people your ideas and what you envision, and they actually understand and know EXACTLY what you are talking about. There are a very few people that I can do this with, bounce ideas off of, or that understand what I am thinking and picturing. At times it can be frustrating when you can see it, and others can't and they have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I guess that's what makes so rewarding and exciting, shall we say, when you do finally talk to those who do. I just don't want to stop with all the possibilities that can happen in that space.

Anywho, I am very anxious to get the ball rolling on this one. This family has been talking of remodeling for about five years or longer and I am giddy to see the result!

Home at last after a quick trip to the store for lunches tomorrow. All of the little people are bed, not asleep of course, but they are showered and in bed which is all that matters and I am ecstatic thinking of everything and exhausted after a long day...and it's just the beginning of the week.

I can't leave without a pic or two, so here is a sneak of the roman shade that Ginger finished and the chair I have been working on...

To another crazy tomorrow,
A
