Little Lovlies

Ran across these today in my search for lighting, and I know, they aren't all lighting. And no, they aren't all little either.

But I love them, seriously addicted to red.

I'm thinking I need the first light for sure....it is the same price as ALL the furniture in my living though...

A Day of Rest?

'God blessed the seventh day and made it a holy day, because on that day he rested from all the work he had done'

I don't think we got that memo today...

There was something scheduled every hour today, by nine o'clock this morning it already felt like it had been a long day.

Get up, hurry to get ready, hurry to church, hurry hurry to lunch and eat so fast your stomach hurts, but you can't be late to the next event, a birthday party, which you forgot the present for. On to the house to change, get the present, help the little people get skates on & off....on & off...annnnd on & off again.

(sigh...)

And the last two things were, lets say, more up my alley...which I can always manage to find some extra energy somewhere.

One of my favorite little sewing chicas, made me a roman shade for the window in the master bath, stopped by to install it and talked a super fast talk on the other ho hum windows in the house. I could seriously talk to her for hours on end about fabric, etc. I hated it that we were so rushed to finish up, but I had to fly, practically, to make it to the next appointment for a kitchen and three bath remodel, and now my mind is spinning, which is good ;)

Now the cabinet people....I could talk to them for days...literally...

What I truly love is to be able to tell people your ideas and what you envision, and they actually understand and know EXACTLY what you are talking about. There are a very few people that I can do this with, bounce ideas off of, or that understand what I am thinking and picturing. At times it can be frustrating when you can see it, and others can't and they have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I guess that's what makes so rewarding and exciting, shall we say, when you do finally talk to those who do. I just don't want to stop with all the possibilities that can happen in that space.

Anywho, I am very anxious to get the ball rolling on this one. This family has been talking of remodeling for about five years or longer and I am giddy to see the result!

Home at last after a quick trip to the store for lunches tomorrow. All of the little people are bed, not asleep of course, but they are showered and in bed which is all that matters and I am ecstatic thinking of everything and exhausted after a long day...and it's just the beginning of the week.

I can't leave without a pic or two, so here is a sneak of the roman shade that Ginger finished and the chair I have been working on...

one.two..three...four....

Apologizing in advance, this one has a ton of pics...but hey, it's her birthday.

It's amazing to me that I can't remember where I put my keys or what I specifically went to the grocery store for, but I can remember everything about the day the little people were born.

It was a Thursday, one thousand, four hundred, sixty days ago...and maybe a few minutes, give or take. She was almost three weeks early and still managed to be 7 lbs.

I really, really want her to just stop growing. She has the craziest, funniest little personality, and I don't want her to grow up. I know its stupid to say that, but I really don't.

3 months...

6 months...

almost a year...

1st party...

3rd party... (why can't I find her 2nd birthday party pics?)

So, here we are at the big four. She wanted a 'Tangled' party at her 'gynnatics' place with all her friends. The decision was made for the Sunday before, since her actual birthday fell the day the older kids started back to school.

And it was not easy finding Rapunzel stuff, but we made it work!

Getting instructions...

I don't think they are listening...

But Tucker is...

Some of her friends...

Group pic...

Cupcakes...

Notice how they are always sitting by each other? Who looks guilty here?

And what better way to end the day of your party by 'spending the night' with you sister, and you and your American Girl doll, Kit, having matching jamas?

So, I asked her as she went to bed, what she wanted to do on her birthday, when the other little people were back at school. She said she wanted to go to Target and get a vanilla milk, Rosas for lunch, and get her toes and fingers painted...
At target with her Tangled doll...

They were out of vanilla, so she settled on Strawberry...

Had to stop and listen to the princess sing...

Rosas...

Enchiladas with the Mister (not pictured)...

Pedicure...

Skipped her nap, she was getting very sleepy...

Finished toes with sparkles...

Manicure...

Finished nails with, again, sparkles...

A sparkly heart for her birthday...

All finished...

And, the show must go on...
Dance started back tonight after the break, she was super excited to go back, and to tell them it was her birthday...

Announcing it is her birthday...

She patiently waited on the Mister to get home to finish up opening her presents...

Her Jessie, which she slept with, and hasn't let go of...

Can you see who is watching a little football?

Happy Birthday to my, still little to me, crazy sweet pea...
