So, I have a friend...
We went to high school together and after she graduated, yes she is older, we did not keep in touch. That is, until she moved back up here.
There are a very few people, I think, in your life that you can go 11 years or so without ever seeing, much less ever talking to, and run into them and pick up exactly where you left off. Like you never missed a beat.
And that, my dear friends, is Leslie, which I am truly thankful she and her hubby decided to leave the Big D and head back up North..and/or West, umm, somewhere in that vicinity, somewhere...
Her sweet family of little men moved back about two years ago and started up a business, GreenCattleBeef.com, selling only grass fed beef, and maybe some eggs. My little people suggested they should look into pigs because we like bacon so much, but I don't know if Leslie was to excited about that idea...
Let me tell you...it is yummy!!
So I stole one of her recipes for the chuck roast we got from their family, and holy moly...it was good, so good in fact, we had NOTHING let over...
We seriously 'heart' squash around here, or some of us do...
a really bad pic of orange zest pound cake...
BBQ ed chuck roast, mmmmm...
And some sweet taters' to finish it off...
I must have been super hungry, because these pics turned out so bad! Sorry Leslie!!
This one is particularly bad during the Tech vs. Tech game because 1.) We were soooo hot, 2.) We ate too much, 3.) There was an annoying Texas fan next to Leslie, 4.) And too many more reasons that I can't remember right now...
You can check out their website/blog for yourself. They have great recipes, pictures and such on there. And like I said, it is 'super duper' yummy!! And did I mention how grateful I am she is back?
To a crazy tomorrow,
A
