Where's Waldo?

So.....to say we have a "little" dirt around our house is a joke. It seems to follow us in every house we move to and I'm beginning to think it's never ever going to go away, so we will just have to learn to, and I clench my teeth as I say it, live with it.

We have had a little rain lately, so 'our' dirt has since turned into mud. And conveniently it happens to rain over the weekend so we have plenty of opportunities to 'accidentally' land in it.

So why not just bust out the old swimsuits? We can rinse off the little people? Right?!?

It's JUST mud....I repeatedly tell myself...

And she is having fun after all...

oh...but wait! Nobody told her there was more across the street.... OR let alone giver her PERMISSION to cross the street...

sigh...I just may never win this one.

Time to break out the water hose...

Pretty Please With Bunches Of Sugar...

How I love sweets...and the little people too, but not so much with the mister. I can get into serious trouble when trekking throughout the grocery store, even if hunger is hanging around.

I was wanting cake.

And not just any cake.

It needed to have cream cheese icing...why? Who knows...

And no, I am not pregnant.

While pushing the basket with two of the short people, I casually strolled down the 'sugar aisle', and thought of carrot raisin. And I can reason rather well with myself. It has veggies for the kids and raisins are great, so its practically something good for everyone... who knows, maybe even the mister will try it...

So I busted out this dandy little thing, not like I got it for actual cooking...

And got things rolling, while the short peeps were bouncing around so excited to eat cake...I forgot to mention to them it had carrots AND raisins, whoops...

And they never noticed, even licked the plates clean. In fact, the shortest of the shorties came along afterwards and managed to 'clean up' any excess crumbs everyone had left ;)

Even the mister managed to eat it, and I think he did more than once...

Purplelicious

I think I am going through a purple phase right now...

It has always been black, with a little white or a tad bit of red. More recently gray has come into the picture a little over a year ago, but purple? Really?

This is crazy for me, but I saw a dress and bought it and set the ball in motion.

So, when I came across the cover for Real Simple today at Barnes & Noble while magazine hunting, I dropped everything, literally. I was holding InStyle and it came crashing down, and it was just the cover, I haven't even open it yet....sigh.... maybe after all the little people and the mister are far off in dreamland...

Check it out for yourself ;)

“I want to go to the Il-lu-mi-nate Workshop! http://www.amyrosekingphotography.com/?page_id=2420″

Oh my.... how I love to take pictures, and how I love my camera...

there are no words...

I purchased a new D90 after Christmas this past year and fell in love. It has consumed me...the little people say "Are you really gonna take more pictures?" Even the mister talks as if he is aisian the whole time I am.

But what can I say? I am obsessed. There are no other words.

I have been meaning to post pictures for a while now, but have so, so many to edit or attempt to edit, it almost makes me sick to think about it.

I am writing all of this to say how much I want to attend a local workshop. So ms. amy rose king, this is for you ;).

San Antone on my Mind

Recently took a little joy ride to visit with a couple of a favs in San Antone. Always have such a great time with them and its a guarantee that there will be so much laughter that tears are sure to follow.

Ah, how we love The Becks....

Windmills on the journey South....

Everytime we pass by there are more and more, a little creepy at night....

The Mister felt the need to drive as if he were an Indy car racer, so I lost count on how many time we got off track....

Mrs. Maria and myself before dinner....

The Mister and myself...

The Mister and Mr. Frank whispering and then giggling, yup, you read that right, giggling....

Headed home we encountered what we thought was a dirt storm we drive through daily....

But the dirt storm decided to be sneaky and throw in some lightning....

Oh wait, a lot of lightning....

But we didn't let it ruin the fun we had had....

And Fun we did Have.

We will have to make another trip back soon, and just may take the little people with us...or not. Depends on how much hair I am about to pull out! We always love to hang with the Beck's, down to playing frisbee with BlackJack or trying to be convinced to take Little Dog ;)

Ocho

Eight years. Wow, how time flies.

Why is it that it isn't that hard for me when the tallest of the little people gets older, but when the youngest two do... It's just so stinkin' hard?

So here's the low down. We gave the little mister the option of having a big party and some gifts or a smaller party with a few cousins and a larger gift. What did he choose you wonder? He asked if he could just get a lot of gifts and no party ;)

So here is the very simple slip~n~slide, three cousins, and the other two short people.

Taking pictures with the camera MiMi purchased for his birthday...

Not just a slip~n~slide, a DOUBLE slip~n~slide....

comes with a so-called 'boogie board' and all....

Oh but wait! It would be even more awesomer if we connect it to the slide!! Then the shortest of the little people would catch air....

Why don't you try to go down on the DRY slide head first?!?

He really didn't want to get wet at all....guess he finally gave in.....

His Paul Frank cake (very, very, very last minute decision might I add)....

Is this the BIG one? Nope, but it will do for a bit....

And after many opened, the big AHA moment, finally....

Have to see how many 'gigglebytes' it has....

A great day comes to an end with a big squeeze from the older cuz.... happy birthday little man....
